…and I will be your Dance and Drama teacher at My Little Playground!
I am originally from Bristol but moved to London 5 years ago to study at Drama School. I Studied for three years at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). And currently work as a professional Actress.
I have always loved working with children. I was a Nanny in between studies and loved creating performances with the kids and thought, why not take it further!
Since then, I have taught drama and dance to children from all around the world including Sierra Leone and India. I think being able to express yourself creatively as a child in a safe and non judgemental environment is vital for all. But most importantly…to have fun!
I’m so excited to be a part of the My Little Playground family and meet all the wonderful little performers along the way!
Saturdays June 2nd, 9th and 16th
3pm – 4:20pm
…and I will be your Music Teacher at My Little Playground.
I was born in Thüringen, a little village in the middle of the Austrian alps. I graduated with distinction from my BMus in Recorder and Music Education and currently studying for my master’s at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
I am passionate about offering every child a chance to make their first musical steps and experience the joy music can bring. Music is a wonderful way of communicating with each other and offers opportunities for every child to feel included.
I started teaching at the Music House for Children in July 2017 and have previously worked as a recorder and early years music teacher in Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland.
I have performed as a soloist and with various ensembles and baroque orchestras around Europe.
Besides teaching and performing, I am passionate about cooking, dancing, languages and different cultures and I love to travel.
My favourite teaching moment was when I taught a key stage 2 class a song from the Wizard of Oz during my placement there and they performed it for me when I came back to visit them.
… and I’ll be doing the Rhymetime and Storytime for kids aged 0 to 5.
I do selection of nursery rhymes, silly songs and lots and lots of strange and delightful stories that will keep your child enthralled and entertained.
My particular favourites are:
Not Now Bernard, Tadpole’s Promise and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. I also play guitar.
… and I am the Director of The Little Dance Academy.
Originally from New Zealand I moved to the UK in 2015 and began teaching my own classes across South West London. In 2017 we decided to relaunch and The Little Dance Academy was born!
At The Little Dance Academy our aim to inspire our dancers in a warm and nurturing environment. We offer magical classes in the styles of Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop and Drama taught by qualified and experienced teachers with a passion for Early Years Dance. We aim to foster a love of dance in all of our students.
My own childhood was greatly influenced by my experiences at the Dance Studio and I hope to build a community as nurturing and loving as the one I was so lucky to be apart of.
We are very excited to be a part of My Little Playground to bring our classes to the children of East London.
…and I am the Founder of My Little Playground. I am the happy Mommy of a charming little boy and live around the corner from Columbia Road.
I have imagined My Little Playground to be a place where children could have activities that follow their development needs, make friends in the neighborhood and have fun! And as a parent, I wanted to provide mums and dads with smart classes in a lovely studio around the corner where they feel good and also have a great time. My Little Playground is a happy place for playing, learning, creating and sharing.
I have chosen the teachers very carefully and I am thrilled to have some of the greatest ones with us.
I can’t see anything more important than nurturing a child’s curiosity and needs to learn and I really look forward to seeing happy parents and children enjoying our classes at My Little Playground. It was created with Love so from there only magic can happen, right ?
